According to Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality received a declaration documents show that China Shandong Ruyi Group is planning to buy an industrial estate in Arkansas for the production, storage and distribution of a variety of fabrics commodities.

The industrial building is currently owned by Sanyo Manufacturing, a manufacturer in Forrest City, Arkansas, for the production of television.

Shandong Ruyi Group is headquartered in Jining, Shandong Province, with annual sales of more than 4.6 billion US dollars. It produces and sells wool textiles in China and around the world. The self-owned brand has more than 3,000 sales outlets in the Asia Pacific market. In June 2010, Ruyi Group invested about US$44 million to acquire 41.53% of the shares of Renowned, a well-known Japanese clothing company, and became the largest shareholder.

In 2016, Ruyi Group acquired the parent company of Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot, the French fashion group SMCP. The exact amount of the transaction has not been announced and is expected to be around 1.3 billion euros, including some of the debt of the SMCP Group.

In March of this year, Ruyi Group acquired the British windbreaker brand Aquascutum from Hong Kong listed company YGM TRADING for US$117 million.
