pH 6.5 to 8.5

Total hardness: dye bath, soaping water < 0.36mg equiv./L, general washing water 3.6mg equiv./L

The criteria for distinguishing soft water from hard water in natural water are as follows:

Soft water 0-57ppm

Slightly hard water 57 to l00ppm

Hard water 100-280ppm

Extremely hard water > 280ppm
