On October 15th, the final of the “China Textile City Cup” 2017 China International Fashion Design Competition was held in the performance release hall of China Textile City International Convention and Exhibition Center. It is understood that the theme of this year's event is "new materials and new crafts". After the inspiring competition, Liu Chuan, from Beijing Institute of Fashion, won the gold medal; Bai Zhiyuan and Zhang Jiaojiao from Xi'an Engineering University won the silver medal, and independent designer LridaMalka from France won the silver medal; Fu Cheng from Jiangxi Fashion Institute and Gao Yu from the Central Academy of Fine Arts Ting and Han Jingyuan of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts won the Bronze Award; each individual award also took place.

The “China Textile City Cup” 2017 China International Fashion Design Competition was hosted by the China Fashion Designers Association and China Textile News, and was hosted by the People’s Government of Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. On August 24th, the preliminary evaluation of the “Keqiao•China Textile City Cup” 2017 International Fashion Creative Design Competition was successfully completed. After fierce competition, the final 20 groups of works stand out and become the leader in the stage of the peak matchup.

According to statistics, the finalist rate of this event is less than 0.9%. Compared with 1.3% last year, domestic and foreign designers are more competitive in the creative field. The number of overseas works exceeds 100, and the players cover a wider area. They include: design countries such as the United States, France, Britain, Canada, Russia, Australia, etc., and there are also players from Iran, Nigeria, Indonesia and other countries to submit contributions. At the same time, the quality and quantity of players from Hong Kong and Taiwan in China have also improved. Compared with the newcomers of domestic players, many international players have set up studios or played for the brand.

Design is the soul of fashion, and fabric is the carrier of design. In order to perfectly match the creative concept of the fashion designer, at the beginning of the planning of the event, the organizer began to cooperate with the global textile network and online textile city to provide a fabric production fund worth 1,000 yuan for all the finalists. In addition to the fabrics for the finals, the shortlisted designers can also experience the characteristics and charm of China Textile City fabric companies in the display and sales of e-commerce channels. At the final stage, China Textile City's high-quality fabrics were given fashion extension by global designers. The creative concept of the designer also found the way to realize the value.

These six companies have firmly grasped the source of fashion, from raw materials, crafts to production, and layer-by-layer innovation, and won the medal of the most popular fabric designer's welcome fabric award.
